Chef Radisha Rowe founded Essential Roots LLC in NYC on March 2019.

For decades Radisha encountered severe abdominal pain. After visiting many different doctors and specialist, she was finally diagnosed with Endometriosis in 2017. As a result, she was under the doctor’s care taking multiple medications which did not resolve her problem. Finally, she decided to take matters into her own hands and eliminated foods that elicited her endometriosis. Changing her diet helped her tremendously. Since then, Radisha has been on a plant-based journey for the past three years.

The Launching of Essential Roots is a plant-based company that will give you a perspective on ways to be creative using everyday vegetables to nourish the body through a healthy lifestyle.

Prior to launching Essential Roots, Radisha attended Johnson & Wales University (Providence, R.I) for four years where she obtained an A.S Degree in Culinary Arts and B.S. In Culinary Arts Food Service Management.

Throughout her culinary career she has gained experience through catering for weddings, bar mitzvahs, corporate events and much more. She also worked at the Radisson Airport Hotel, Wegmans Food Markets, Kraft Group Gillette Stadium, Operations For Homeless Veterans, Sonnier & Castle, Cipriani NYC/MIA.

Radisha has over eleven years’ experience working in the food service industry as a professional chef.
